Should your new listing run inside your brand ads

A new listing can slide into a running brand ad rotation, but that slot works differently from a paid listing ads package, and knowing the difference matters before you promise a seller anything.

The short answer

Yes, a new listing can rotate into your brand ads, with one catch on reporting

Yes, your new listing can rotate into your brand ads as one of the creative slots. It's often the freshest thing you have to show, so it runs there for a while and then rotates back out as other material comes up. That said, a listing running inside your brand ads is part of your own name-recognition push, not a listing ads package, so it doesn't come with the seller-facing Traffic Report a listing ads package produces.

Can my listing run in my brand ads

Yes. Brand ads run on a rotation of creative, and a new listing is usually the sharpest, most current thing you have to put in that rotation. Once you list a property, that listing's photos and details can take a slot in your Growth or Scale rotation the same way any other piece of brand creative does. It runs there while it's relevant, gets its turn alongside your other material, and then rotates back out once it's no longer the newest thing you've got or once you've sold it. This isn't a special product you buy. It's simply how the rotation works when you feed it fresh content, and a new listing is about as fresh as content gets.

This matters because a lot of agents assume a listing only belongs in a listing ads package, and never think to let it show up in their own brand ads too. There's no reason not to. It costs nothing extra, and it keeps your brand rotation from going stale between listings.

What about the seller report

Here's the catch. A listing running inside your brand ads is part of your own brand push, built to get your name in front of more people, and it does not produce the seller-facing Traffic Report that a listing ads package produces. What you get instead, on the brand side, is The Pulse, your monthly read on how many people saw your name. That's a report about you, not a report about the listing, and it won't have the seller's address on it anywhere.

If a seller is expecting to see proof that their specific listing was advertised, the brand slot alone will not satisfy that. You need an actual listing ads package, Starter, Showcase, or Luxury, running on that listing. That package is what generates the Traffic Report built around the seller's address, which is the document you forward to them.

Listing ads vs brand ads for a new listing

Think of it as layered, not either-or. A listing ads package is the thing you buy specifically for that address, and it's what produces the report the seller sees. Brand ads are your own ongoing push, running under your name, and a new listing rotating into that push is a bonus on top, not a substitute for anything. Run both together and the listing gets extra exposure through your brand ads while the listing ads package still does the job of proving it to the seller.

The order that makes sense for most agents: set up the listing ads package first if the seller wants documentation, then let the listing rotate into your brand ads on top of that for the additional reach. If a seller isn't asking for a report at all, running the listing in brand ads alone is still worth doing since it's already part of what you're paying for with Growth or Scale, and it keeps that rotation current.

Can a new listing run inside a Compass agent's brand ads?

Yes, it can take a slot in the rotation alongside the agent's other brand creative. The listing runs while it's current, then rotates out as newer material comes in, the same way any other creative in a Growth or Scale package cycles through. It's a bonus placement, not a separate purchase. Nothing extra to buy for the slot itself.

Does a listing running in brand ads come with a seller report?

No, it does not. A listing inside brand ads is part of the agent's own name-recognition push, and what that push reports back is The Pulse, which shows how many people saw the agent's name, not a report built around one address. If a seller is expecting something with their listing's address on it, that has to come from an actual listing ads package. The brand slot doesn't replace that.

If a seller wants proof their listing was advertised, what does an agent need?

A listing ads package, specifically Starter, Showcase, or Luxury. Those are built to produce the Traffic Report an agent forwards straight to the seller, with that listing as the subject. Running the same listing inside brand ads on top of that is fine and often worth doing, but it's additional exposure, not a substitute for the package that generates the report. Buy the package for the report.
